Tholander has recently commissioned a biofilter for a Spanish poultry processor. The biofilter has been designed for an air flow capacity of 68,000 m³/h and replaces the previously installed thermal exhaust gas treatment plant: In view of constantly rising prices for energy, the plant has become an unbearable cost factor. Due to a sophisticated pre-conditioning, the carbon-neutral and energy-saving biofilter technology could be used without effecting the cleaning efficiency at all.
